Abstract:

The project B-HiP investigates the applicability of high-performance computing infrastructure to support the execution of business transactions. In two major research lines organizational business processes and individual work processes are investi-gated and mechanisms for real-time support for such scenarios has been developed. The work in the re-porting period mainly focused on creating the foun-dational model layer and to implement prototypes demonstrating the performance of such analysis mechanisms. Within the Future SOC Lab infra-structure, performance tests have been executed and proved a considerable performance increase. In future developments also complete business scenarios should be evaluated, in order to answer the question, whether a HPC infrastructure together with the B-HiP functionalities can provide relevant real-time support for business processes.
