Do you have a few questions about the application process, the interview or another topic at the beginning? Since many other applicants have probably already asked themselves exactly the same questions, we would like to ask you in our Applicant FAQ provide the most important answers at a glance.

Generally.

  • Regardless of whether you are a student, have just completed your degree or are already in your professional life - we offer the next step in your career.
  • We firmly believe in the power of diversity in digital transformation and are proud to create an inclusive work environment that welcomes people with different skills and backgrounds and where each individual can contribute their strengths. 
  • You can easily apply for a position on our website without registering by clicking on the “Apply for this position” button for the respective position.

  • On average, the application upload takes less than 5 minutes
  • Cover letter, because it gives us more information about your motivation and areas of interest. Therefore, the cover letter is an important part of your application.

  • It's not necessary to apply for multiple positions at once. During our application process, we always check whether your profile might be relevant for other job openings.
  • If you are interested in several job openings, you can either send us an unsolicited application or apply for the position you prefer and express your interest in other positions in your cover letter.

 

  • We primarily conduct our job interviews virtually via Microsoft Teams as a video interview.
 
 
  • Be yourself: During the conversation, we naturally want to get to know you as a person.
  • To prepare yourself further, please visit our website to learn more about our institute and the projects that may be of interest to you.
  • Of course, we will treat your data confidentially.
  • For this reason, we can only accept your application via our applicant management system. Submissions by mail or email are not accepted.
  • Our privacy policy is automatically included when you upload your application.

 

  • We offer all our employees the opportunity to work remotely, but this should be done in consultation with your team.
  • You are welcome to work in our office and use our equipment there.

Students.

The application process for students consists of 5 steps
Step 1: The application upload via our applicant management system

  • Available via our careers page
  • You upload your documents and agree to the privacy policy (< 5 minutes).
  • You will then receive a confirmation of receipt by email.

Step 2: The preselection

  • Your documents will be released to the department.
  • HR and the department will review your documents together.

Step 3: The interview

  • Your interview partners will be your future supervisor and your contact person in our HR department.

Step 4: The final conversation

  • If you are recommended for employment, a second interview will take place with a colleague from our management and your contact person in our HR department.
  • We will inform you of our final decision within the next two days.

Step 5: The contract offer

  • Congratulations! You are now part of our team!
  • After you have submitted your application online via our applicant management tool, you will immediately receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
  • We will then get back to you personally within one week.
  • Our student trainees work flexible hours, ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week, so you can ideally combine your work with your studies.
  • You can also plan your times flexibly.
  • Basically from the first semester, it is important that your profile fits our position.
  • We are very open when it comes to choosing topics – regardless of whether you already have your own idea or are still undecided.
  • We are always happy to receive your own suggestions.
  • Through our mutual exchange, we will definitely find a topic that is suitable for you and our institute.
  • And of course, you don’t have to write your thesis with us.

Career starters and experienced professionals.

The application process for permanent employees consists of 6 steps

Step 1: Uploading your application

  • Available via our careers page.
  • You upload your documents and will be informed about our data processing guidelines.
  • You will then receive a confirmation of receipt by email.

Step 2: We review your documents

  • Together with the relevant department, we will examine how well your documents match the job advertisement.

Step 3: The initial consultation

  • We'll get to know each other in approximately 30 minutes. During the initial interview, you'll learn everything you need to know about our institute, and we look forward to getting a personal impression of you. The interview will take place in a one-on-one setting with a colleague from the Human Resources department.

Step 4: The technical interview

  • After we've gotten to know each other, your future team will be eager to get to know you on a personal and professional level. And you'll probably also want to know what exactly you'll be working on. Find out here.

Step 5: Get to know the management

  • To ensure both sides make the right decision, we'll give you the opportunity to meet our management team before you hire us. After that, we'll all be fully prepared for the next step.

Step 6: The contract offer

  • A few days later, your phone rings. We're on the line, celebrating your positive decision, which we hope you'll reciprocate.
  • A few days later, the contract will arrive in your mailbox. Welcome to the team!
  • After you have submitted your application online via our applicant management tool, you will immediately receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
  • We will then get back to you personally, usually within two weeks.
