Buildings as intelligent energy users of the future
Smart building or energy guzzler – how energy efficient is your building really?
Buildings consume enormous amounts of energy – especially through large-scale appliances such as air conditioning, kitchens, and laundry. At the same time, pressure is increasing to reduce CO2 emissions, increase energy efficiency, and respond flexibly to volatile grid feed-ins. Many businesses are reaching the limits of their grid connection, leading to peak loads, high costs, and inefficient operations.
Our solution
In the research project EnOptI We are developing an intelligent energy management system that precisely controls and flexibly adjusts energy consumption in buildings – with digital smart grids, AI-supported forecasts, and intelligent device communication. This allows peak loads to be avoided, self-consumption to be maximized, and limited grid connections to be optimally utilized.
We design the building as an active part of a sustainable energy system – transferable, future-proof and scientifically sound.
