It combines innovative concepts which enable the automatization and optimization of consulting processes through web services. Especially in the areas Sales, Marketing and Fulfillment customers and consultants benefit from more efficient processes. One of the fundamental components of the DCP is the Minute Consulting Service.
At this consultants are at customers’ disposal as bookable resources. To simplify the choice of the right consultant, all consultants are recorded in the system with their skills and project experience. There is also a solution-oriented search mask which helps the customer to categorize and select the right consultant. As the system is coupled with availability statuses, direct online live consultings are possible.
AWSi PROTOTYPE OF THE DIGITAL CONSULTING PLATFORM
The AWS-Institute already developed a first prototype of a Digital Consulting Platform. The prototype is implemented based on HTML5 and the development environment Meteor, as thereby it is possible to expand existing software modules by individual advancement and responsive design.
The prototype already provides numerous functions like the creation of detailed, informative consultant accounts with introduction videos, a solution-oriented search mask, which helps selecting the right consultant or the video call function which enables to directly conduct remote consulting units via the portal. The prototype can be seen as a first step towards the digital transformation of consulting processes by softwaretools.
Digital Consulting Platform from customer perspective
A customer can use the DCP if at his company there is any problem that is to be solved by the help of an external consultant. If the customer has such a problem, he is able to find the best solution via the platform. For that to happen, he has to sign in on the platform first. Then he needs to describe his problem through the solution-oriented search mask. Based on this description the choice of consultants is narrowed down. The customer is able to check the accounts of the consultants where he can find detailed information about their career, completed projects, introduction videos and scores of other customers.
Then he is able to choose the consultant which fits his needs best. If the chosen consultant is available, the consulting can be conducted immediately. If the consultant is not available or the customer is busy, it is possible to use the scheduling assistant of the platform to fix an appointment. After consulting service an evaluation of the consultant is possible. The used service is charged minute wise.

A consultant can use the DCP to provide even small consulting units to a wide range of different customers. These can be conducted everywhere and anytime. Thereby he can use his working time more efficient. If a consultant wants to offer his services via platform, he has to register and create an account first. The consultant can highlight his special skills in his profile.
If a consultant is online, he can show if he’s available or not. The consultant dashboard provides an overview about current consulting queries. They can be confirmed and scheduled. If the consultant is available, he can be called directly by the customer. The consultant can set his own minute price. In addition to that he can give an overview about his professional career, present completed projects and upload videos showing him at work.
